  if you have an LCD, you just might have component (RGB) inputs in the back.
  Or if has HDMI inputs, that's the best. There's PSX cables for all of the common video formats.
  But I use Svideo as well with my CRT tv, wayyyy better than the crappy composite cables.

    Now I have HDMI. on a 720p LCD monitor. Should I upgrade from s-video?

      Here's the list from best to worst quality:
      HDMI , RGB (component) , S-video , Composite (regular yellow red white) , RF (cable).
      There may be others, but they are not as common.
      I just hooked my PS2 up with RGB cables (from a PS3) and the quality is absolutely amazing.
      Can't wait for HDMI!

        THanks for the useful information about the grades of cables.
        I don't use s-vid now. However the audio lines from the PS2 cable can still come in handy if you have PlayStation.
