Does anyone know of other options? Also, do I need anything else? Someone mentioned that the ps2 needs an ethernet card in addition to the adapter, but that doesn't sound right to me - wouldn't the adapter take care of that?

From one gamer to another, I am begging you to please warn your friends also: NOT to buy Marvel Nemisis: Rise of the Imperfects.

Rise of the Imperfects is right, because this game is the epitome of imperfection.
Ok so the graphics are PSOne quality at it's best. Everyone knows gameplay is what really makes a game. Unfortunately, gameplay falls even shorter. Playing the game, you don't get the feeling that you're playing any of the comic characters. It's more the sense that you're playing the same character with only slight differences. Each character basically has two(2) 'special moves'. One is a glorified throw move and the other is supposed to be a signature move of the character, but it's very bland and no fun at all to execute. On top of the limited moves, you run out of your 'special move' meter pretty quickly. (Since when does Wolverine run out of energy to use his claws?!)
The gameplay is slow except when a move has FINALLY executed, the gameplay skips, A LOT, and an unecessary amount of time is spent waiting for the game to auto save and load.
To add more seasoning to this overcooked steak, I traded in the game today and the maximum amount I could get with my perks membership was $24! Mind you the game just came out only yesterday, but apparently the retailers know how bad the game sucks now.
So, friends, this is a fair warning to NOT buy Marvel Nemesis. You won't get the feeling that you're playing your beloved comic characters and you won't get your money's worth. I'm very disappointed in Marvel for allowing this highly anticipated game to be released AS IS and I won't be getting the PSP version now either.

Your padre,
Thunder

Hey all,
There's a videogame tournament coming up on July 23 in San Jose, Calif. and I'm hoping you can help me get the word out about it. It's hosted by the Tech Museum of Innovation and what makes it unique is that finalists for several of the games will duke it out on the Giant Dome Screen - which is otherwise used for IMAX films.

The PS2 games in the tournament are Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4, DDR Max 2 and Downhill Domination. Finals for Downhill Domination will be played on the Giant Dome Screen. You can get a look at it here: http://www.jgpr.com/maxgames/gds.jpg . The theater has a 44 speaker, 13,000 watt sound system.

The tournament will also feature two of the creators of "Red vs. Blue", who will talk about the series during the day and show episodes on the Giant Dome Screen during the evening. Bungie, will also provide a hi-res version of their nine-minute trailer for HALO 2.

The tournament website is http://www.thetech.org/maxgames . If you know anyone in the Bay Area who might be interested, please pass the word along.

On the chance you're a Gamecube or Xbox player, the tournament games for those consoles are Gamecube: Mario Kart Double Crash, Super Smash Brothers Melee and Super Monkey Ball 2; Xbox: NASCAR Thunder 2004, SSX 3 and HALO. Finals for HALO, SSX3, Super Monkey Ball 2, NASCAR Thunder 2004, and Mario Kart Double Dash will be played on the Giant Dome Screen.

If you have any questions I'd be happy to answer them.

Thanks,
Hell, I've got it on my cell phone. But anyway - the gameplay is precise and on-point, the storyline is engaging, and the graphics are beautiful. Bit reminiscent of Ico, too. That's a good thing.
